Honolulu, HI- In the second meeting of the season between Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific the result was the same, a three game sweep in favor of Chaminade.
The first game proved to be the most competitive, with two points proving to be the difference as kills by Evelyn Bluthenthal and Vanja Radanovic ended the first game 31-29. That was as close as the Sea Warriors would get, as Chaminade took care of game two and game three with relative ease by scores of 30-18 and 30-20 to finish the match. Game three had the Swords hitting well (.341) led by Trina Kauliakamoa and Evelyn Bluthenthal with 11 kills a piece for the match. They also had 12 and 14 digs respectively, while Chlesea Powell led the defense with 16 digs.
Tamara Kauliakamoa led the offense with 40 assists, while Brittnee Fonnesbeck added 8 kills and 6 blocks for the Lady Swords.
Hawaii Pacific was led by Antje Buskies with 11 kills to go along with 13 assists. Chaminade outdug Hawaii Pacific 70-54 and outhit the Sea Warriors .237 to .146 on the match.
With the win Chaminade has won eight of their last nine matches and improves to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the PacWest. The Lady Swords have already surpassed last years win total with ten regular season matches remaining.
