Swords Women's Basketball Drops Game to BYU-Hawaii

January 13, 2007 - Honolulu, HI In their second match up in three days Chaminade fell to the Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii by a score of 81-66.

Freshman Samantha Saito led Chaminade University in scoring with 20 points, Saito shot 6-9 from the field, including a 4-6 from three point range. Four other Swords were in double figures in scoring, Brittnee Fonnesbeck and Marian Murphy both had 13 while Katherine Carlisle added 10 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

Latoya Wily led the Seasiders with 27 points and 15 rebounds.

With the loss, the Swords fall to 2-11 on the year, while BYU-Hawaii improves to 5-10 overall.

Chaminade is back in action at home against Hawaii Pacific University, February 1 at 5:30, McCabe Gym.
