Final Stats
Lahaina, HI- The Swords were ready today. CUH came out and jumped on LSU early, shooting 50% from three to take a 41-36 halftime lead over the Tigers.
The game was back and forth throughout the second half as the lead never went above 10 points and was two points with 35 seconds left.
Senior Hayden Heiber scored a team high 25 points, going 7-10 from three point range, while junior forward Rodrick Johnson added 11 points for Chaminade. Heiber went 9-18 overall and Johnson led the team with 13 rebounds. Senior Marko Kolaric had another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
For the second straight night Chaminade outrebounded its opponent, outrebounding a very tall, athletic Tiger team 45-41.
LSU freshman center, Anthony Randolph, led the way for the Tigers with 21 points.
"Our guys competed today, we knocked down some shots, Hayden Heiber got hot, which he is very capable of doing, and we played hard until the end" commented Coach Mahar.
With the loss, the Silverswords fall to 1-2 overall. The Tigers improve to 3-1 overall. Chaminade play the Tigers of Princeton at 2:00PM HST on November 21st at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.
