Honolulu, HI- When Chaminade went to Belmont to play NDNU earlier this year, the Swords left with two hard-earned victories. In McCabe Gym today, the Swords handled the Argos in a 78-48 victory for a season sweep of NDNU.
Chaminade went up by a score of 20-8 ten minutes in, and led by thirteen at the break, 36-23. The lead went to eighteen points with five minutes gone by in the second half and never got any closer.
The Swords were led by senior All-American candidate Zack Whiting, who collected his sixth triple-double of the year with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Marko Kolaric added 11 points and 15 rebounds, while Stewart Kussler added 14 points on the afternoon. Chaminade out rebounded the Argos 43-32 and held NDNU to 33% from the floor.
NDNU was led by Eric Bossom with twelve points and five rebounds.
With the win, Chaminade improves to 14-10 and NDNU falls to 8-16 overall.
The Swords are back in action next week versus Hawaii Pacific on Feb 21st. Game time is set for 7:30 PM at Mid-Pacific Institute.
