Honolulu, HI- Never back down. The Lady Silverswords came back to win 4-0 after a losing the first three games to the Antelopes of Grand Canyon University. After dropping the first three of the four game series, 6-5 (in ten innings), 15-0, and 6-0 the Swords found a way to win and shut out the "Lopes 4-0 on Friday.
The Swords battled through ten innings in game one only to give up three runs in the top of the tenth, they countered in the bottom of the inning but could only get two runners across home plate and dropped the decision 6-5. The second game of the day was not as kind as the `Lopes scored ten runs in the top of the third and went on to win the game in five innings.
Day two started off slow for CUH as Grand Canyon continued to out hit the Swords eleven to four and won the game 6-0. But the Silverswords never gave in and came out fighting in the second game of the double header. Chaminade came out hitting and out swung the `Lopes six hits to their three, winning the game with a shut out 4-0.
With the win Chaminade improves to 3-16 on the season.
Swords Softball is back in action at Central Oahu Regional Park, Wednesday March 14 against Valdosta State. First pitch is set for 4:30PM HT.
