Hilo, HI- CUH drops the third of four meetings in the 2006-07 season against UH-Hilo.
Chaminade came out flat in the first half, never getting into their rhythm offensively. The Vulcans pressure defense and hot shooting hand gave them a quick lead that they continued to build on throughout the evening.
The Swords play improved in the second half, but their shots were still not falling, shooting a dismal 29.4%, leading to 23% shooting from the field for the night which resulted in an 83-50 loss.
Chaminade was led by Brittnee Fonnesbeck and Desiree Staples with 16 and 14 points respectively.
UH-Hilo was led by Sheila Azevedo with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Halley Moseley added 20 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double in the win.
The Swords are back in action this Sunday, March 4th, for a rematch with UH-Hilo at 12:00 PM in Honakaa, HI.
