Honolulu, HI- Chaminade continues its forward march. The Swords competed for ninety minutes today with the Eagles of Embry-Riddle in a hotly contested 3-2 defeat.
The scoring started quickly as Jason Aspelund scored his first of two goals less than a minute in to the match. CUH was not deterred, as Marvin Mendoza scored off an assist from Tony Palacios in the seventh minute.
Embry Riddle answered with two more before Mendoza struck again in the 78th minute to make the score 3-2. The game would go back in forth after that, with neither team scoring again.
With the loss, Chaminade falls to 0-2, while Embry-Riddle (AZ) improves to 3-1 the year.
The Silverswords are back in action on September 3rd against Chico State. Game time is set for noon at St. Louis Field.
