Phoenix, AZ- Chaminade lost the second of three Pac West Conference road games as the Lady Swords fell to the Antelopes of Grand Canyon by a score of 2-0.
The Lady Swords were tough defensively, allowing only two goals on twenty five shots from Grand Canyon. Keeper Marissa Minor stopped 10 shots in goal. Lindsey Countryman was the most active attacker for the `Lopes shooting nine times, but no goals. Jeanne Davis tallied a goal and an assists. The goal proving to be the game winner in the 22nd minute.
The Lady Swords gave great effort, but did not manage a shot on goal.
Chaminade falls to 0-6, 0-2 in the Pac West with the loss, while GCU improves to 1-5-1, 1-1 in the Pac West.
Chaminade is back in action at 7:30 PM on September 22nd against Dixie State in St. George, UT. It is the final game of three league games on the road for the Lady Swords. Please check out www.goswords.com for game schedules and results.
