Swords Men's Soccer Falls to Grand Canyon 5-0

Phoenix, AZ- The search continues for that ever-elusive first win. The Swords faced a tough Grand Canyon squad and fell 5-0.

Grand Canyon attacked from the outset as the CUH defenders tried to handle a barrage of shots. The Antelopes out-shot the Silverswords 24 to 1 on the evening. Timon Berry had the lone shot for Chaminade. Five different players scored for Grand Canyon, led by Albert Escovar who scored a goal, along with an assist on the evening.

Darren Smith made eight saves for the Swords.

CUH is now 0-8-1, 0-2 in the conference and Grand Canyon moves to 3-3-2 with the win. The Swords are back in action today against Southwestern College in Phoenix, AZ. Game time is set for 5:00 PM MT.
