Honolulu, HI- The Swords took care of this one early, defeating the Urban Knights 92-61.
Six Swords scored in double figures with Darrell Birton leading the way with 23 points. Jamar Berry added 19 points and 8 rebounds. Noah Gottlieb led the way with an impressive triple-double, as the junior guard had 10 points to go along with 12 assists and 16 rebounds.
Mohamed Tangara added 13 points along with 7 rebounds. Cartier Carter added 11 points and Joel Smith added 10.
The Swords out-rebounded AAU 49-35.
Weleh Dennis leads AAU with 27 points.
Chaminade improves to 9-7 on the year, 5-2 in the Pac West conference. AAU falls to 3-17. The Swords are back in action on Jan 29th vs. BYU-Hawaii. Game time is set for 7:30 PM HT in Laie, HI.
