Honolulu HI- Nationally ranked University of Alaska @ Anchorage took the floor tonight against the Silverswords of Chaminade University. Anchorage was victorious in tonight's match and beat CUH by a score of 90 to 43. Despite being outsized and overmatched CUH never, never, never gave up until the final horn sounded the end of the game.

Every team member played a role in tonight's game against their nationally ranked opponent. If they were on the court, the bench or injured, it didn't matter because they were all behind each other 100%.  CUH most definitely understood the importance of the game tonight. More importantly, the team came into the game tonight believing they could pull off the upset, they were not imitated by the Seawolves and fought hard all they way though. Unfortunately, their efforts came up short and they didn't pull off the upset tonight. Rest assured, the Chaminade Women's Basketball team can most definitely hold their heads up high. Tonight's game was an incredible effort in front of what was their largest crowd of the season.

Kellene Costello played in just 14 minutes and contributed with 9 points, despite having been recovering from the flu virus this past weekend. Jamie Higa also added 8 points, going 2 for 4 from three point land. Kayci Will contributed with 7 points an grabbed 7 boards off the glass for the Silverswords.

Vince Lombardi once said, “The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall.” Tomorrow afternoon CUH get's its chance to rise up once more as a team, to come out victorious against a nationally ranked opponent tomorrow afternoon (December 31st). At 12pm HST, the Silverswords of Chaminade University take on nationally ranked West Texas A&M University at McCabe Gym.
