PHOENIX, AZ- A classic back and forth Pac West battle went Grand Canyon's way tonight, defeating the Swords 66-57. Chaminade struggled to get going, committing 12 turnovers in the first half, but found themselves down only 5 at the break.

Mamadou Diarra (Bamako, Mali/Stoneridge), scoring 17 points, corralling 10 boards and blocking 5 shots in defeat.
Chaminade shot 39% from the floor, GCU 42%.
Rony Tchatchoua led the 'Lopes with 13 points.
The Swords fall to 11-6, 4-1 in the Pac West. Grand Canyon improves to 9-6, 4-1 in conference. Chaminade heads to Dixie State to face the Red Storm on Saturday night at 7:30 PM MT.
