CUH WBB: Lady Swords Fall to BYU-H 72 to 36

Laie, HI—Freshman Jordan Ahakuelo did not start the match tonight against the Seasiders of BYU- Hawaii; however, she led the team off the bench with 12 points. Markeshia Manning added 10 points in defeat for CUH. Chaminade battled hard to the end; however, poor shooting has continued to be CUH's Achilles heel this season. CUH fell 72 to 35.
 
The Lady Swords shot just 23% on the night, compared to BYUH who shot 49%. CUH lost the rebounding battle 44 to 36. Jamie Higa added 6 points, so did  Kellene Costello and Natasha Kealoha added 5 points for Chaminade.
 
 
With the win tonight, BYU-Hawaii is now 3-15 for the season and 2-7 in the Pacific West Conference and with the loss, Chaminade falls to 1-15 for the season and 1-9 in the Pact West conference
 
Chaminade will play again on Tuesday, February 15th against Notre Dame de Namur University in a Pacific West Conference contest in Belmont, California at 5:30 pm PST.
