Honolulu, HI – The Lady Swords took on the # 14th ranked Red Storm of Dixie State tonight and fell by a score of 79 to 34. Chaminade trailed at the break 47 to 13 and despite only being outscored by only 11 points in second half, however, the 34 point deficit to overcome proved to be too much, despite a hard fought battle by Chaminade.
The Red Storm had four players in double digits; Johnna Brown led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Dixie State shot an impressive 42% from the floor, while CUH managed just to shoot 22% from the floor.
With the loss Chaminade falls to 1-21 on the year and 1-14 in the PacWest. The Red Storm of Dixie State College improve to 23-3 overall and 13-2 overall in the PacWest Conference. The Lady Swords are back in action on Wednesday, March 5th at McCabe Gym when they square off against BYU- Hawaii. This will conclude the Lady Swords Women's Basketball season.
