Box Score HONOLULU, HI- Chaminade lost to Academy of Art 91-49 this evening in a PacWest Conference matchup in McCabe Gym.
The Urban Knights got off to a quick start, leading 17-8 with 11:47 in the first half. Thirteen of those points came courtesy of Urban Knights freshman Sha'Nice Storey, including three three-point makes. The Swords hung tough and trailed 21-14 with 6:09 remaining in the first half following a runner by senior forward
Markeshia Manning (Kapolei, HI/Pearl City).
Following Manning's basket, Academy of Art's full court pressure forced several Chaminade turnovers and Art U went on a quick 10-0 run in under two minutes and led 31-14 with 4:13 left. CUH trailed at the break 41-23. The Silverswords had trouble with turnovers in the half, committing 19. Manning led Chaminade with 6 points and 7 rebounds. The Urban Knights were led by Sha'Nice Storey with 16 points. The Swords battled on the glass with ART U out-rebounding Chaminade 23-18.
ART U managed to keep CUH at bay in the second half and won the contest, 91-49.
The Silverswords shot 35% from the floor, while the Urban Knights shot 47%. Academy of Art out-rebounded Chaminade 53-32. The Swords went 0-10 from three on the contest, well below their season average for makes from three.

Academy of Art was led by Sha'Nice Storey with 31 points in the matchup.
With the defeat, Chaminade moves to 1-9, 1-3 PWC. Academy of Art moves to 12-3, 5-0 PWC on the year. The Swords face Hawaii Pacific on Monday, January 14
th in Honolulu, HI. Tip is set for 7:30 PM HT at Moanalua High School.
