WAIPAHU, O'ahu, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Hawai'i Pacific University Saturday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
After a scoreless first half, the Sharks struck twice in the second half on goals by Noelle Mercado and Leonica Lopez.
The Silverswords (2-9-1 overall, 2-6-1 Pacific West Conference) took seven shots on the day, four from
Caitlin Tatemichi. Two of her shots were on goal including a header that clanked off the crossbar with just over a minute left to play.

Shyann Moriguchi also took a shot at the goal for Chaminade.

Brandee Lane made eight saves while Alannah John made three to help HPU improve to 3-9-1 and 3-5 in the PacWest.
The Silverswords will open their final two home games of the year, starting Thursday against Point Loma at Saint Louis Field.
