SAN DIEGO – The Chaminade University women's soccer team made the drive down the Southern California coast to face Point Loma on Monday, but suffered a 4-0 setback to the Pacific West Conference-leading and defending conference champions.
The Sea Lions (9-4-1, 6-0-1 PacWest), who haven't lost a conference match since this exact day in 2017, scored twice in the first and second halves.
Cailla Fabro (Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Idaho State/Pearl City HS),
Kira Nishiki (Mililani, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Mililani) and
Cierra Toledo-Muragin (Hilo, Hawai'i/Waiakea) each took two shots for the Silverswords (1-5-3, 1-4-1 PacWest). Both of Nishiki's shots were on goal.
Naomi Takata (Honolulu/Pearl City) made eight saves for the 'Swords.
The Silverswords will make the drive back up the coast to face Biola on Thursday.
