NAMPA, Idaho – For the second time at the Northwest Nazarene Tournament, the Chaminade University women's soccer team settled for a draw.
This time, it was a nil-nil decision to Minot State from North Dakota in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The Silverswords, who were coming off their 2-2 draw against 10th-ranked Colorado Mesa, took 10 total shots, half of which were on-goal, with
Kenna Kiefer (Vail, Ariz./Cienega) leading them with three shots.
Savannah Breeze Miranda (Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Aiea) took two for the 'Swords, both of which were on-goal.
Isabella Narvaez (Vail, Ariz./Cienega) also had a pair of shots for the royal blue and white.
Izabella Holly (Tucson, Ariz./Cienega) played all 45 minutes, tallying four saves as Chaminade's defense held the Beavers (1-0-1) to just five shots.
The Silverswords will close out their road trip Tuesday against host Northwest Nazarene at 3 p.m. Hawai'i time.
