2012: Finished 4-12 playing #6 singles for the Silverswords.  Also started all 33 matches for the Chaminade Women’s Soccer team in both the fall of 2011 and 2012. 
 
High School:  A three-sport athlete for the Knights of Castle High.  Shayla participated for four years in varsity soccer, two years in soft tennis, and one year in water polo, JV tennis and varsity tennis. Selected as MVP for soft tennis her sophomore and junior year.  Was named OIA First Team in 2010, and All State Honorable Mention for soccer.  Shayla was also a DECA and Key Club member.  She also completed the BOE senior project.
 
Personal: The daughter of Steven and Dana Hosaka, Shayla was born in Kaneohe, HI.   One of three children, Shayla has two brothers, Evan and Tyson. Hobbies include: traveling, eating, hiking, yoga, and working out.  Majoring in Elementary Education at Chaminade.
