2013:  Named to the Pacific West Conference All-Academic Team ... started 18-of-25 matches ... led the Silverswords in assists with 421 (4.9 per set) ... finished third in digs with 147 (1.71 per set) while also recording 11 service aces and 9 kills ... had a career-high 39 assists in a win at Dominican (Oct. 7) ... also had 36 assists in a win over Fort Hays State (Sept. 5) ... recorded eight matches of 20-or-more assists ... ended her Chaminade career with 895 assists, 292 digs and 31 aces.

2012:  Started 22-of-24 matches for the Swords.  Led the team in assists with 474 (6.0 per set), finishing 11th in the Pacific West Conference.  Had a season-high 37 assists in a four-set win over St. Martin's (Sept. 8).  Finished second on the team in service aces with 20.  Logged 145 digs (1.84 per set), finishing fifth on the team. Named to the All-Academic PacWest Team.

Previous College: Started all matches for the Lady Broncos at New Mexico Military Institute in 2011.  Had a total of 1,391 assists, averaging 9.73 assists per set. Montoya was also third on the team with digs, averaging 2.92 digs per.  Shealso made the all-conference first team.  Started all matches for the Lady Broncos in 2010. Had a total of 970 assists, averaging 8.66 assists per set. Montoya was also third on the team with digs, averaging 2.94 digs per. Montoya also made the all-conference first team.

High School: Montoya played for volleyball, basketball and softball for Robertson High School in Las Vegas, NM. Montoya made the all-district volleyball team from 2005-’09, and made the all-state team her sophomore through senior year.

Personal: The daughter of Steve and Frances Montoya, Daniella is from the small community of Sena, NM.  She is one of three children; two older sisters, Elisha and Dominique. She also has two nieces, Kati and Aimee, and a nephew and another niece or nephew on the way! Hobbies include: reading, and horseback riding.
