Biography

Career:  Ranks second in program history in points (15) and goals (7).

2014 (Senior):  Named to the Academic All-Pacific West Conference Team ... played all 16 games with 15 starts ... had three points on the year on a goal (Dixie State, Oct. 6) and an assist (at BYU-Hawai'i, Sept. 13) ... had a .325 shots on goal percentage (10 SOG, 23 attempts).

2013 (Junior):  Honorable mention all-Pacific West Conference selection ... led Silverswords with three goals and six points ... had a team-high 31 shots, 15 on goal for a .484 SOG percentage ... was 1-for-1 in penalty kicks (Holy Names, Oct. 31) ... attempted season-highs of six shots twice (Academy of Art, Oct. 26; Holy Names, Oct. 31) ... season-best three shots on goal twice (Fresno Pacific, Oct. 17; Academy of Art, Oct. 26) ... named the team's Most Outstanding player.

2012 (Sophomore):  Ranked second in points with six, despite an injury-riddled sophomore season that saw him play in only 10 matches.  Scored two goals against Hawai`i-Hilo (Sept. 17), including the golden goal in the 114th minute to give the Swords a 3-2, double-overtime, win, snapping a 33-match winless streak, dating back to Sept. 2010.  Ended the season with three goals, second-best on the squad.

2011 (Freshman): Competed in 16 contests, starting 15 at midfield.  Was third on the team in shots with 19.

High School:  A soccer captain for the Chargers of Pearl City High School.  Started at striker on the varsity team from 2009-11 and was named the Chargers' most outstanding player.  Dayton was also picked to play in the Hawai`i State All-Star game and awarded a spot on the OIA Red West First Team. Played club soccer for the Hawai`i Rush, where he was coached by former 'Swords assistant coach, Arian Hoxha.
 
Personal: The son of Clint and Yuko Sato, Dayton was born in Misawa, Japan.  Dayton has a younger brother, Jay, and an older sister, Malia. Hobbies include playing other sports, working out and enjoying the beach.
