High school:  A 2014 graduate of Maui High School ... a four-year starter for the Sabers ... earned All-Maui Interscholastic League Second Team honors in senior year ... was all-MIL honorable mention in previous seasons ... second on team in assists during senior year ... had a grade-point-average between 3.3 and 3.6 throughout senior year.

Personal:  Parents are Christopher and Shannon Cortez of Kahului, Maui ... has three younger sisters; Chai, CHanelle and Kyla ... played club soccer with the Excel Soccer Club (Maui) and Surf (O'ahu) ... major is undecided ... hobbies include playing soccer, doing community service/volunteer work, being in the outdoors with family and friends (such as going to the mall, eating, shopping, going to the movies, beach and hiking), babysitting and coaching ... interesting fact is she does not have a pinky toe.
