High School: Patch American
A graduate of Patch American High School in Stuttgart, Germany (Military Base) where she lettered in volleyball, basketball and softball all four years. She was named to the All-Conference first team four years in a row, named 1st team All-Tournament all four years, named Division Two Tournament MVP two times (freshman year, junior Year). Named to the “Big School Tournament” for Division 1 and 2 her sophomore year, named to the All-European 1st team four times. She was named 3X Patch High School female athlete of the year three times in a row (sophomore, junior, senior Year). Named to the DODDS All-Europe Female Athlete of the year her senior year. She also played in the Women’s German League (18-25 yr olds) for the three years.
Kasy’e also achieved All Conference, All Tournament and All Europe Team awards in volleyball and basketball.
Born Kasy’e Lalau in Fayetteville, NC…Daughter of Richard and Carmen-Jacqueline Lalau….She has three younger siblings….. Two sisters, Carmen-Safotu and Celina-Jacqueline and a brother, Tavita …. Moved to Europe at age twelve spent last five years living in Germany.
Chaminade University:
Red-shirted for the Women’s Volleyball team because she tore her lateral and medial meniscus in her right knee. She recovered in time for her first year of collegiate softball.
Freshman Year:
Kasy’e appeared in 22 games last year and of those started 14 of them. She pitched in 105 innings and recorded 2 wins, 12 losses and 2 saves. . She struck out 28 batters last year, walked 40 batters and gave up 5 homeruns on the year. Her ERA her freshman year was 3.78.
