Kaipo Villeza joined the staff of the Chaminade University men's basketball team in August 2023.
Villeza spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California, were he helped the Hornets compile an impressive 57-5 mark during his two years as an assistant coach. Fullerton went 32-1 during the '22-23 season where they captured the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) state championship. He was the team's video coordinator, did player development and life coach.
Villeza attended Fullerton for two seasons as a member of the basketball team before continuing his playing career at the University of Saint Katherine in San Marcos, California, in 2018. It was there where he developed a passion for player developing basketball players ranging from middle school to the professional level.
Villeza received his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in 2023.
The native of Whittier, California, has strong ties to O'ahu. His father, Richard, is originally from Ewa Beach.
