Biography

2016-17 (Senior):  Played in eight games and totaled eight points and four rebounds ... set career-highs of eight points and three rebounds on 3-for-6 shooting in 132-67 win over Northwest Indian College (Dec. 31), the second-most points in program history.

2015-16 (Redshirt Sophomore):  Named to the Academic All-Pacific West Conference honor roll ... was the team's Most Inspirational Player ... saw action in five contests ... scored all three points of season win win over Fresno Pacific (Jan. 16), sinking first career 3-pointer while also pulling down two rebounds.

2014-15 (Redshirt Freshman):  Named to the Academic All-PacWest Team ... was team's Scholar-Athlete ... played 11 games, averaging 3.5 minutes per game ... scored first career points with a field goal at No. 22 California Baptist (Feb. 14) ... had six rebounds on the season ... helped guide Guam's national team to its first men's basketball gold medal in 36 years at the 2015 Port Moresby Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in July ... had a personal-best 10 points and seven rebounds in win over Kiribati during the games.

2013-14:  Named to the Pacific West Conference All-Academic Team ... was granted a medical hardship after played in two games, logging one minute each before an injury ended his season against Academy of Art (Jan. 4).

High School:  Attended Father Duenas Memorial School in Asan, Guam, averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds per game during his senior season ...  was a IIAAG first team selection, named 2013 league MVP and Island Player of the Year ... named to the Oceania All-Star team that competed throughout Guam and Australia in the FIBA Oceania Basketball Championships ... was Guam's Shieh Su Ying Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... awarded the Oceania National Olympic Committee Academics/Basketball Scholarship to attend any university in the United States ... received a resolution from the Legislature of Guam, recognizing him for academics, athletics and community service.

Personal:  Parents are Jason and Teresa Sakazaki ... father is originally from O`ahu, where he was an all-star football player at Kaiser High School in Honolulu ... has a younger brother, David ... majoring in biochemistry ... hobbies include spending time with family and friends.
