Mark Rasmussen is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Chaminade University softball team. In addition to serving as the top assistant to head coach Kent Yamaguchi, he oversees the infielders and is the Silverswords' defensive coordinator.

"Raz" played baseball at the University of Hawai'i Manoa under Hall of Fame coach Les Murakami and was the Rainbows' opening day starter at shortstop in 1987.
