The 2025 season marks Vanessa Yamaguchi's 20th year as Chaminade's softball administrative assistant, coming on board in 2006. Her roles include handling of paperwork and helping with team logistics. She also assists in putting together the Elite Softball Camp every December, one of the top youth softball camps on O'ahu.

Vanessa also assists head coach Kent Yamaguchi, her husband, in scheduling, serving as the operations director during off-island road trips and performing various other clerical duties for the team. Two of her daughters, Kehaulani and Iwalani, are both former Silverswords. Both played in the mid- to late-2000s with Kehaulani returning to serve as the team's pitching and psychology coach from 2016 to '18. Her two other daughters, Aloha and Kealaoha, played collegiate softball at the University of the Pacific and the University of Hawai'i, respectively.
