The 2016-17 season will be Robbie Fukuhara's sixth year as an assistant coach with the Chaminade University women’s basketball team. A 2006 graduate of Roosevelt High School, Fukuhara played for current Chaminade head coach Bobby Keanini.

Prior to CUH, Fukuhara assisted Keanini at Roosevelt High School with the girls basketball program from 2007-10. He is a 2011 graduate from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo. with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, K-12 Teaching and Adapted Physical Education.
 
Fukuhara was also a three-year letterman in football, playing defensive back and special teams at Colorado-Mesa. Fukuhara is currently a teacher at St. Louis School.
