Biography
Basketball:
2019-20 (Senior): Academic All-PacWest … joined team in January and played four games … pulled down three rebounds, both defensive … had season-high 10 minutes vs. No. 3 Hawai‘i Pacific (Feb. 25).
Soccer:
2019 (Senior): Co-captain of Silverswords' women's soccer team and anchored their center-back spots ... tied program's single-season record for assists (4) and ranks second in career assists ... finished second on team in points (8) ... all eight career points came during senior year ... named PacWest Defender of the Week on Oct. 7 after helping shut out Hawai'i Hilo (Oct. 4) and delivering the game-tying assist in 2-1 win over Notre Dame de Namur (Oct. 6) ... played in 12 matches, all starts ... finished career with 33 straight starts without being subbed out, a streak of 3,143 consecutive minutes played.
2018 (Junior): Academic All-PacWest ... one of two players to start all 14 matches ... played all 1,300 minutes ... ended season with streak of 21 consecutive starts without being subbed out dating back to 2017, total of 2,003 consecutive minutes played ... attempted six shots, two on goal.
2017 (Sophomore): Academic All-PacWest ... started all 16 matches ... logged team-high 1,468 minutes ... missed just 12 minutes of action during the year, all at Point Loma (Oct. 9) ... took one shot on goal vs. Hawai'i Pacific (Oct. 28).
2016 (Freshman): Academic All-PacWest ... played in 14 matches with 13 starts ... logged 1,189 minutes with season-high 110 in 1-1 draw vs. California Baptist (Oct. 10) ... part of defensive unit that surrendered 1.56 goals per match, the lowest in program history.
Tennis:
2019 (Junior): Academic All-PacWest and ITA Scholar-Athlete ... played two matches, finishing 1-1 ... first career match win was in doubles with playing partner and soccer teammate Nicole Nishiki, a 6-1 victory against Mills College (March 17).
Prep: A 2016 graduate of Aliso Niguel High School in Laugna Niguel, Calif. ... played on the varsity soccer squad for two years and helped lead the Wolverines to the 2015 league championship ... played club soccer for the Slammers FC for eight years and was team captain for four ... won a state championship and a runner-up finish in the regionals with Slammers.
Personal: Parents are Mike and Virginia Wong ... has an older sister, Candice, and a young brother, Brandon ... majoring in Forensic Science and would like to go to pharmacy school after graduation ... hobbies include cooking, paddle boarding, watching ice hockey ... has a personal juggling record of 376.
