Erik Covarrubias enters his first year as an assistant coach on the Silversword Cross Country Staff.  A native of Los Angeles, CA, Coach Covarrubias ran four years of cross country and track at Damien High.  In 2005, Covarrubias became involved in the Mid Pacific Road Runners Club, volunteering to help set up races and running many 5K & 10K races at the same time. Over the past two years, Coach Covarrubias has run the Honolulu Marathon and the Marathon series of long distance races and looks forward to another set of races and Marathon for 2008.
