Biography
High School: A cross-country standout for the Sabers of Maui High School. Competed in cross country for 3 years. Starter on the varsity Cross Country team in 2008-2011 and was named and cross country team MVP in school year of 2010-2011. Also finished twenty-sixth place in the state in distance while competing in Cross Country. Freitas was also an active athletic member and Maui High School participating in Soccer and track and Field during 2008 through 2011. Lyssa was also the Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the year 2010-2011 for Maui High School. She was also voted MVP for her Track and Field team at this time (2010-2011).
