Biography
Career: Started all 65 games ... had two career goals, both game winners (Sept 15, 2011 vs. Hawai'i-Hilo; Oct. 31, 2013 vs. Holy Names).
2013 (Senior): Named to the Pacific West Conference All-Academic Team ... started all 16 games ... lone goal of the season came against Holy Names (Oct. 31), which was the game-winner in the 32nd minute, ending a 43-match winless streak dating back to September 2011, which she also had the winning goal ... named to the PacWest's Final 5 once (Nov. 5) for that accomplishment ... attempted five shots, four on goal.
2012 (Junior): Started all 16 matches for the Swords in her junior season. Attempted two shots, one on goal.
2011 (Sophomore): Started and played in all 16 games as a defender during her sophomore year. Scored the game-winning goal vs. UH-Hilo on Sept. 15 and was named to thePacWest Women’s Soccer Weekly Top-10 Honor Roll for that feat. Received CUH Women’s Soccer Most Outstanding Award and Scholar-Athlete Award with the highest GPA. Active officer of CUH Pre-Health Club.
2010 (Freshman): Started all 17 game as a freshman for the Swords on defense.
High School: A soccer standout for the Chargers of Pearl City High School. Started at midfield. Received a Most Valuable Player award, O`ahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) First and Second Team All-conference, and all-state honorable mention. Played for a Premier soccer team in Hawai`i. Volleyball player for two years, receiving the most valuable player award. Involved in community volunteer projects including Special Olympics and youth soccer.
Personal: The daughter of Gail and Vincent Iwahashi. Kristy was born in Honolulu, Hawai`i. One of three children, Kristy has one sister, Stacy and one brother, Brysen. Hobbies include: Diving, volleyball, working out, and hanging out with family and friends.
