Nathan Gonzales joined the Chaminade University Athletics Department in August 2024 as Facility & Operations Manager.

Gonzales oversees all Chaminade home game operations which includes facility setup on game days, ticketing, video stream and team locker rooms. He also is the supervisor for all student-workers as well as the manager of the Carlson Fitness Center, the on-campus weight room which serves students, faculty and staff.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Gonzales graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Communications with a certificate in Technology Management. He played for years for the UCSB men's volleyball club team, serving as captain and social media manager for the UCSB 'B' Team, while also playing two years for the school's club beach volleyball squad. Among his educational feats, he worked with a team of four persons to help create a short-term digital media company that was tailored for UCSB and SBCC in the Isla Vista area who would submit videos for weekly challenges.

While attending UCSB, Gonzales also worked at the school's Recreational Center, working events such as club sports and Greek life. He also found time to be an assistant coach for the Santa Barbara High School Girls Junior Varsity Team in 2023.

A graduate of Kearny High School in Santa Barbara, Gonzales was a four-year member of the boys' volleyball team and led them to the school's first-ever CIF boys volleyball championship during his senior year, earning Division 4 Player of the Year honors.
