Ashley Ogata helped the softball team defeat Concordia University Irvine, 8-7, on March 1, getting the win after throwing 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and three runs. She retired the final three batters in order to earn the victory in the circle. It was the Silverswords’ first win over CUI in 23 years, also ending a 22-game losing streak to the Golden Eagles.
