Sameera Elmasri averaged 20.5 points and four rebounds for the women’s basketball squad’s season-opening two-game series against Embry-Riddle of Arizona. The senior had 23 points in the Nov. 8 opener – one shy of the career-high she set while as a member of Birmingham-Southern College – with three rebounds and five steals. She added 18 and four boards in the Nov. 10 rematch.
