Jonah Valmonte made 12 total saves for the men’s soccer team during the week in helping the Silverswords to a 1-0-1 record. His 11 saves on Oct. 30 at Menlo tied his career high while he faced 26 shots fired at him. The senior added another save in their Nov. 1 win over Jessup and even got an assist in the ’Swords’ final goal of the game. Those efforts helped him earn the PacWest Defender of the Week honor.
