Kaneohe, HI- The Swords Women’s Soccer team fell to HPU this afternoon by a score of 2-0 at Atherton Field.
Chaminade went down 1-0 on a goal by Tami Kalaiwaa in the 22nd minute. The Sea Warriors added another goal in the 43rd minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
There was no scoring in the second half.
CUH was led by Jamie Lindstrom and Ona Byers. The two combined for three shots on goal.
Jamie Hirai had two assists for HPU.
Chaminade was out-shot 19-3 in the loss. Marissa Minor made eight saves for the Swords.
With the loss, Chaminade falls to 1-9. HPU moves to 3-7 overall. The Swords are back in action against BYU-Hawaii on October 25th. Game time is set for 11:00 AM HT in Laie, HI.
