Honolulu, HI- The Pac West Conference leading Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii swept the Lady Swords tonight 3-0 on their way to the NCAA Regionals.
BYU-H came out sharp winning the first two games 25-18 and 25-15. The third game was a battle, with the teams trading leads and needing extra points to decide the game. The Seasiders won the game 27-25.
Senior Trina Kauliakamoa continued her steady play with 12 kills and 14 digs. Senior Chelsey Powell added 3 kills and 6 digs for the Swords.
Offensively, BYU-Hawaii out-hit CUH .233 to .088 on the match. The Seasiders led in digs, 67-46.
The Seasiders were led by Ane Vea with 11 kills.
With the loss, Chaminade moves to 10-14 on the year. With the win, BYU-H moves to 15-5.
The Lady Swords are back in action on November 8th to face HPU at 7:30 PM HT. The game will be held at St. Andrew's Priory.
