Honolulu, HI- A 47-41 game at the break turned into an 80-63 UH win over Chaminade tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Foul trouble plagued the Swords all night as 3 players had at least four fouls. Shane Hanson and Jamar Berry led the way offensively with 11 points apiece.
The Swords were hot from the arc in the first half, going 6-12 from three. The second half the Swords cooled down, going 0-5.
UH was led by Bill Amis with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guard Lasha Parghalava added 21 points.
The Swords out-rebounded UH 33-32. Rickey Clayborn led with 7 rebounds for CUH to go along with 10 points. Chaminade had 11 assists to 19 turnovers.
The Swords start their regular season on Nov. 24th at the EA Sports Maui Invitational against North Carolina. Game time is set for 4:30 PM HT. The game can been seen nationally on ESPNU.
