Honolulu, HI- Chaminade did their best to handle the Seasiders this evening, but fell short against BYU-Hawaii losing in three games 18-25, 17-25 and 24-26.
The Seasiders took the first two games, but Chaminade showed poise to respond in the third, out-hitting BYU-H .205 to .190 in the third game. Unfortunately it wasn't enough, as the Seasiders managed to hold off Chaminade's momentum, winning the game 26-24 and avoiding a fourth game.
Preseason Pac West Conference Player of the Year Trina Kauliakamoa was her usual self, getting 13 kills to lead all players (.281 %) and added 9 digs. Courtney Lorusso added 11 kills and Chauntelle Maduli added 11 digs in defeat.
Chaminade was without starting setter Tanya Alvino and middle blocker Vanja Radanovic saw limited action due to injury.
