Honolulu, HI- Chaminade started slowly. After a tough first game that NDNU won 28-26, the Swords responded to win three straight and defeat the Argos in four, 26-28, 25-13, 25-22, 25-19.
The Swords were led by sophomore Samantha Miller, who had 20 kills to go along with 10 digs. Tanya Alvino led the offense with 38 assists and added 13 digs. The Swords controlled the net with 13 total blocks to NDNU's 7.
Trina Kauliakamoa was her usual self, adding another double-double to the resume with 15 kills and 17 digs. Chauntelle Maduli led the way in digs with 18.
The Swords outhit NDNU .170 to .061 on the night. In the closing fourth game, Chaminade hit a red-hot .353.
Christina Villamayor led NDNU with 14 kills.
With the win, Chaminade moves to 6-6 on the year, 2-1 in Pac West play. NDNU moves to 1-15. The Swords are back in action at home on September 24th vs. Notre Dame de Namur. First serve is set for 7PM at McCabe Gym.
