St. George, UT- The Swords got two goals today in a 5-2 defeat to Dixie State. The team from St. George didn't wait very long to get on the board, as Shannon Larsen scored in the first minute to put Dixie State up 1-0. Dixie State added three more goals in the first half to put the game out of reach.
Despite the deficit, the Swords kept plugging away. Offensively, Jamie Lindstrom was stellar for the Swords. The sophomore took 5 shots and scored twice for Chaminade to make the 5-2 final. Marissa Faye added two shots and one assist on the day.
Marissa Minor made 13 saves in goal for CUH.
Chaminade was out-shot 37-7 in defeat.
With the loss, the Lady Swords fall to 1-5. Dixie State moves to 4-3-1 overall. Chaminade is back in action at home against BYU-Hawaii on October 4th. Game time is set for 1:00 PM HT.
