Belmont, CA- The Swords took on the Argos of Notre Dame de Namur today in a Pac West conference match-up and fell by the score of 3-1.
The Argos were ready to go early, tallying three first half goals. The Swords toughened up their defense in the second stanza, shutting out the Argonauts in the second half.
Marissa Minor (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena) stopped 11 shots for CUH. Haley Miller scored for the Swords. Marissa Faye (Waimea, HI/Hawaii Prep) nearly scored another for the Swords hitting the post on her attempt to put the Swords within a goal.
The Swords were out-shot 31-3.
With the loss, the Swords move to (0-10, 0-7). NDNU moves to (5-3, 5-6) with their fifth victory in conference. Chaminade is back in action at home on October 17th against Dixie State. The game is set for 2:00 PM HT.
