Honolulu, HI- Chaminade took on the Sea Warriors of Hawaii Pacific today in a Pac West conference match-up and fell 7-1. Dyanne Anderson scored 3 goals for the Sea Warriors.
HPU put two goals on the board in the first four minutes, but Chaminade did not quit. The Swords got a goal late in the first half off the foot of Marissa Faye (Waimea, HI/Hawaii Prep) to make it a 2-1 score at half.
HPU responded with five second half goals for the 7-1 victory.
Marissa Minor (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena) stopped 7 shots for CUH. Chaminade also earned two corner kicks on the match.
The Swords were out-shot 32-5.
With the loss, the Swords moves to (0-15). HPU improves to 9-7-1. Chaminade is back in action at home on November 5th against BYU-Hawaii. The game is set for 10:00 AM HT.
