Honolulu, HI- Chaminade took on the Dominican University Penguins today in a key Pac West conference matchup at St. Louis Field. The Swords fell to the team from San Rafael, CA by a score of 2-0.
After thirty plus minutes of scoreless action, the Penguins scored in the 33rd minute on a goal from Bridget Folan with the assist coming from Katie Brown. Dominican led 1-0 at the half.
The second half was much like the first, the Penguins attack being held at bay by the Silverswords defense for much of the half. Mary Wheeler of Dominican made sure the game didn't stay 1-0, adding the second goal off a pass from Alex Moran in the 74th minute for the 2-0 victory.

Marissa Minor, (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena HS) stopped ten Penguin shots on goal.
CUH was out-shot 19-4 on the match. Freshman
Kristy Iwahashi (Pearl City, HI/Pearl City HS) had two shots on goal for the Swords.
With the loss, the Swords move to 2-8 overall. Dominican improves to 5-7-1. Chaminade is back in action October 25th against BYU-Hawaii. Game time is set for 12:30 PM HT at St. Louis Field.
