KANEOHE, HI- Chaminade fell to HPU today in a Pac West conference matchup at Atherton Field. The Swords were downed by a score of 3-1.
HPU scored in the twentieth minute to take the early 1-0 lead. The Sea Warriors added two more goals in the opening half to lead 3-0 at the break.
The Swords continued to push and got a reward for their efforts late in the second half as junior
Whitney Williams (Pukalani, HI/St. Anthony's HS) scored in the 85
th minute to make the final score 3-1.

Marissa Minor, (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena HS) stopped twelve Sea Warrior shots on goal on the afternoon.
CUH was out-shot 23-5 on the match.
Hawaii Pacific's Yasmina Taketa (20th minute), Mairead Bretney (28th minute) and Jacqueline Ho (31st minute) had the Sea Warrior goals in the 3-1 win.
With the loss, the Swords move to 2-10 overall. Hawaii Pacific improves to 6-8. Chaminade is back in action October 30th at Dixie State. Game time is set for 7 PM MT. The match against the Red Storm is the first of four mainland road matches to conclude the season.
