CUH WSOC: Red Storm Handles the Swords, Win 6-0

Minor stops 10 shots in defeat

ST. GEORGE, UT- Chaminade ran into Red Storm team that was in sync on the field today in a Pac West conference matchup at Hansen Stadium. The Swords lost by a score of 6-0.        
 
The game was tight throughout the first forty-five minutes as the Swords were stout defensively, giving up only one goal in the first half, a Dixie State goal by Mindy Beckstrom in the 17th minute.
 
The Red Storm got the scoring going in the second half, adding five second half goals for the 6-0 home victory.      
 
Chaminade senior goalkeeper Marissa Minor, (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena HS) stopped ten Red Storm shots on goal on the evening. 
 
CUH was out-shot 27-4 on the match. The four Sword shots were all on goal.   
 
Mindy Beckstrom and Julia Chipman each scored two goals for Dixie in the win. 
 
With the loss, the Swords move to 2-12 (2-10 PWC) overall. Dixie State improves to 10-6 (7-5 PWC). Chaminade faces Grand Canyon on November 3rd in Phoenix, AZ. Game time is set for 8:00 PM MT.
