LACEY, WA- Chaminade is off to a 1-0 start after a 77-66 win over the Wolves of Western Oregon.
The Swords led 38-33 at halftime. Junior
Mamadou Diarra led four Swords in double figures with 18 points, to go along with a game high 21 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Steven Bennett added 14 points and 8 assists, while
Chandler Pearson (7 rebounds) and
Chris Curtis each added 12 points in the win.
Senior
Shane Hanson had 7 points and 9 rebounds, while
Rickey Clayborn added 8 points, going 3-5 from the floor.
Kolton Nelson led the Wolves with 18 points.
Chaminade moves to 1-0, Western Oregon to 0-1. The Swords face St. Martins tomorrow night in Lacey, WA at 7PM PT in the Marcus Pavilion.
