Phoenix, AZ– The Lady Swords took on the Antelopes of Grand Canyon and lost all four games; 10 to 0, 11 to 5, 10 to 0 and 7 to 3. This was the first series of the team's two week long mainland trip.
March 19th, 2010
Chaminade lost the first game by way of the mercy rule, 10 runs to 0. Grand Canyon scored 6 runs in the bottom of the third inning and 4 more runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Kelly Korras is charged with the loss, she pitched 4 innings. She gave up 10 hits, 10 earned runs and struck out 2 on 25 batters faced. She falls to 5-5 on the year.
Game # 2:
Chaminade was able to score 5 runs in this game, although they still fell 11 runs to 5. CUH struggled hitting the ball; they were only able get 5 hits as a team on 27 at bats. Elise Goodell, in the top of the 4th inning, doubled to left field and scored two RBI's for the Lady Swords. In this inning, the Lady Swords scored all of their 5 runs.
Kasy'e Lalau pitched 6 innings. She faced 35 batters; she gave up 13 hits and 11 earned runs. She falls to 5-4 on the year.

CUH lost this game 10 runs to 0. The story in this game was the pitching for Grand Canyon University; CUH got up to bat 17 times and only managed to earn 3 hits. Keli-Grace (KG) Kaowili- Sanatian, Dawn Dela Cruz and Skye Virtudes were the three Lady Swords who hit the ball.
The Antelopes led 5 runs to 0 after three innings; they scored the final 5 runs in the Top of the 4th inning.

Game # 2
CUH scored 3 runs in this game, however, GCU posted four more runs and won the game 7 to 3. The Lady Swords managed to hit the ball this game, they earned 9 hits on 29 at bats. Kristine “Chiko” Mihara and Keli-Grace (KG) Kaowili- Sanatian both went 2 for 4 in the game.
Kasy'e Lalau pitched 7 innings. She faced 31 batters; she gave up 9 hits and 7 earned runs. She falls to 5-45on the year.
The Lady Swords continue their mainland for the 12 games. Their next opponent is fellow PACWEST member, Dixie State University in St. George, UT March 22nd and 23rd. First pitch is set for12:00PM MDT, after the four game sweep; CUH's record is now 13-15 overall and the Antelopes of Grand Canyon University, improve their record to 22-4 on the year.
