CUH WSOC: Swords Fall 3-0 to Argos of NDNU

Makua stops six shots for Swords

BELMONT, CA- CUH would like to have the 14th minute back.  The Swords gave up two goals in the 14th minute of action in the first half and fell to the Argos 3-0 in a Pac West Conference tilt.        
 
NDNU put two shots in the back of the net early in the first half as Massiel Castellanos and Jessica Santos scored twenty-seven seconds apart to take the 2-0 advantage.
The Swords were out-shot 10-1 in the opening half.
 
NDNU added a goal in the 33rd minute for the 3-0 final.
 
Chaminade was on the offensive in the second half, taking five shots in the last forty-five minutes.  Freshman KeKe Powell (Kerrville, TX/Tivy) took two shots for the Silverswords.   
 
Freshman Kainoa Makua (Kailua, HI/Kalaheo) stopped 11 shots for CUH. 
 
The Swords were out-shot 21-6.  
 
With the loss, the Swords move to 1-6, 1-2 in conference.  Notre Dame de Namur improves to 2-5-1, 1-1-1.  Chaminade is back in action on September 29th at Dominican.  Match time is set for 1:30 PM PT.
